On the same day we went to the reed islands we also went to the beautiful island of Taquile.
The people that live on the island were born there and live their entire lives on that island. The men and boys knit- hats, scarves etc.; and the women and girls weave- all manner of cloth.

The island is as peaceful as this picture suggests. The people are shy and quiet and there are no dogs like in most other places in Peru
